PLOS Pathogens and PLOS Neglected Tropical Diseases, along with the American Journal of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene, Vector Borne and Zoonotic Diseases, and The Lancet Infectious Diseases present a Writing Workshop intended to equip and support early career researchers and researchers from disease endemic regions in understanding the publication process and best practices for manuscript writing. Highlights of the sessions include: framing your research and choosing your journal, mapping out your paper, abstract writing, the mechanics of writing, and research and publication ethics. ASTMH has negotiated discounted rates plus applicable taxes, at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center. Call the hotel and identify yourself as an ASTMH meeting attendee to obtain the special rate. Room rate is $267.00 X 6% state tax and $10 Occupancy tax. Discounted rooms are sold on a first-come, first-served basis and apply only to reservations received before October 17, 2019, provided rooms are still available in the room block.
You must be registered for the Annual Meeting in order to generate an automated invitation letter. Click here to generate your invitation letter. If you require an invitation letter prior to registering contact Yvonne Aiken at [email protected]. Invitation letters are only for attendees who live outside the U.S. and are not U.S. citizens. These invitation letters are required for travel visas.

Cancellation Policy/Substitution Policy
Cancellations must be submitted in writing on or before October 19, 2019 to receive a refund minus a $100 USD administrative fee. Refunds will not be granted after this date and will not be given for no-shows. Submit cancellation requests to Brenda Howe at [email protected].
Substitution deadline is November 6, 2019. A substitution form must be completed and submitted to Brenda Howe at [email protected].
Note: A difference in rates at the time the substitution is requested and the difference in member type may cause an additional fee on top of the cancellation credit. Membership will be verified; registrations at the member rate without valid corresponding membership to ASTMH will automatically be charged the Non-member rate.
