Arbovirology (ACAV)
Chair Kathryn A. Hanley, PhD
"…unparalleled access to cutting-edge research and cutting-edge researchers in arbovirology."

Clinical Group (ACCTMTH)
President Duane Hospenthal, MD, PhD, FASTMH
“I believe the ACCTMTH (Clinical Group) subgroup offers ASTMH members who are clinicians or have a focus on clinical research to have a place in the Society to voice their ideas and concerns, and to share ideas and collaborate with colleagues with similar aims. A more recent focus of the Clinical Group is to provide our trainees with access to mentors and opportunities to guide and further their careers.”

Global Health (ACGH)
President-Elect Christina S. Polyak, MD, MPH
“The youngest of the sub-groups is growing rapidly to better serve the needs of members interested in Global Health.  Join the Global Health team to learn about exciting careers and opportunities and to participate in our dynamic networking events. We look forward to seeing you (at the Annual Meeting) in Atlanta soon!”
Medical Entomology (ACME)

Medical Entomology (ACME)
Chair Lyric C. Bartholomay, PhD
“ACME – the American Committee of Medical Entomology – is a community and home for ASTMH members who are looking for connections to issues of global and tropical health related to vectors and vector-borne diseases. We set out 30 years ago to promote research and training related to medically relevant insects and other arthropods, and the diverse disease agents transmitted thereby as a function of blood feeding. To reach these goals, ACME connects with members through newsletters, symposia, a booth at the Annual Meeting (complete with arthropod-decorated clothing items), a new effort to organize an annual pre-meeting course, and trainee networking events.  We celebrate and recognize our successes with annual trainee travel awards, a lifetime achievement medal, and newly minted awards for Breakthroughs and Future Leaders in Medical Entomology.”

Parasitology (ACMCIP)
President-Elect Christine Petersen, DVM, PhD
“Being a member of ACMCIP connects you to the remarkable history of tropical medicine efforts pioneered by past and present members. These efforts provide a lofty vision of what we could accomplish in the next 50 years. Being a member and attending the annual conference provides a context and setting for international collaborations and partnerships, as well as allowing me to see many longtime scientific friends. One of the benefits of ACMCIP is the ‘big tent’ that brings together folks from many different scientific backgrounds to grapple with our complex global health problems.”
