ASTMH is pleased to invite applications for its inaugural Virtual Professional Development Learning Series, a new initiative designed to strengthen the skills, networks and career readiness of early-career scientists and public health professionals worldwide.

This eight-month pilot program will bring together up to 60 participants for a six-part webinar series delivered across 2026, with two sessions offered each quarter (Q1–Q3). The program prioritizes individuals from disease-endemic regions and those without access to in-person professional development opportunities.

Please note: the curriculum will be offered in English.

What the Program Offers:

  • Six interactive virtual webinars led by diverse global experts
  • Training on journal writing, grant writing, advocacy, communications, mentorship, career development and emerging global health trends
  • Opportunities for peer networking and collaboration
  • A certificate of participation for those completing at least four sessions
This initiative builds on high-value content traditionally offered at the ASTMH Annual Meeting—now adapted to a fully virtual format to maximize reach and accessibility.
