2022 Annual Meeting
COVID-19 Health and Safety Plan

 
We look forward to seeing you in Seattle, October 30-November 3.  We have established a set of guidelines to help create a safe meeting for all.  We continue to monitor the state of the COVID-19 epidemic and will update the information below as needed.  We will follow all local, state and federal guidelines for COVID-19 safety.  Current guidelines for the Seattle area can be seen here: COVID-19 guidelines for King County.

Vaccine-(1).jpgArrival and vaccination status: By attending our onsite meeting, you attest that you are symptom-free and up to date on vaccination with a WHO recommended SARS-CoV-2 vaccine (listed here). If you have registered to attend in person and test positive or develop symptoms prior to traveling to Seattle, please contact ASTMH. We will work with you to convert your registration to virtual participation.

Masks are expected when in attendance at scientific sessions and symposia, optional while presenting and expected at all poster sessions.  Masks will be optional at other events. Outside seating is available at breaks and mealtimes outside of the registration area. Please bring your own masks. Additional KN-95 masks  will be available in the registration area.

TESTING.jpgTesting:
ASTMH has arranged to provide every attendee with two rapid antigen tests at the annual meeting. We encourage attendees to use the rapid antigen tests if you believe you may be infected or develop symptioms. eMED has provided us with proctored antigen test. If you require one for travel or to obtain a telahealth visit, please visit the COVID testing counter in the regsitration area located on the 4th floor of the convention center. Information on where to obatian a PCR test is available here. 
 
If you develop symptoms or test positive:
If you develop symptoms or test positive, please self-isolate and contact conference staff. ASTMH cannot assume responsibility for medical care or costs associated with infection, but we will have information available on how to contact local medical providers.
