2022 Annual Meeting
COVID-19 Health and Safety Plan

We look forward to seeing you in Seattle, October 30-November 3.  We have established a set of guidelines to help create a safe meeting for all.  We continue to monitor the state of the COVID-19 epidemic and will update the information below as needed.  We will follow all local, state and federal guidelines for COVID-19 safety.  Current guidelines for the Seattle area can be seen here: COVID-19 guidelines for King County.

Vaccine-(1).jpgArrival and vaccination status: By attending our onsite meeting, you attest that you are symptom-free and up to date on vaccination with a WHO recommended SARS-CoV-2 vaccine (listed here). If you have registered to attend in person and test positive or develop symptoms prior to traveling to Seattle, please contact Brenda Howe. We will work with you to convert your registration to virtual participation.

masks.jpgMasks:
Masks are required when in attendance at scientific sessions and symposia, optional while presenting and required at all poster sessions.  Masks will be optional at other events. There are outdoor spaces available at breaks and mealtimes, and a list of restaurants with outdoor seating will be available at registration. Please bring your own masks. Additional KN-95 masks  will be available in the registration area.

TESTING.jpgTesting:
We have arranged to provide every attendee with a rapid antigen test at registration.  We ask that you self-test prior to attending your first event. We also have arranged with an FDA-licensed test manufacturer to provide proctored tests if required for international travel.  Appointments will be available at a booth in the exhibit hall. The cost must be paid by the individual. Further information will be available closer to the start of the meeting.

If you develop symptoms or test positive:
If you develop symptoms or test positive, please self-isolate and contact conference staff. ASTMH cannot assume responsibility for medical care or costs associated with infection, but we will have information available on how to contact local medical providers.
