Summer Institute in Statistics andModeling in Infectious Diseases (SISMID)

Designed to introduce infectious disease researchers tomodern methods of statistical analysis andmathematical modeling.  
Location: Emory University, Atlanta, GA
Since its founding in 2009 by Dr. Betz Halloran of University of Washington, SISMID has trained thousands of researchers from academia, government, and industry in cutting edge analytic methods. SISMID’s new home is at Emory University, and housed within the Rollins School of Public Health, in Atlanta.

Scholarship Information
Scholarship awards are available for SISMID. A major goal of SISMID is to prepare scholars from all backgrounds for modern research in infectious diseases. SISMID encourages applications from those from groups historically underrepresented in STEM such as racial and ethnic minority groups, low-income, first-generation college students, veterans, individuals with disabilities, and 2SLGBTQ groups. Awards will be granted until funding is exhausted. SISMID courses will be held in-person at the Emory University campus.
