2024 North American Refugee Health Conference

8/5/2024 - 8/7/2024
Recognized as the leading conference for healthcare and other professionals working with refugee populations.
Location: Minneapolis, MN, USA

In its 15th year, the North American Refugee Health Conference (NARHC) will grow to 800+ healthcare providers, policy makers, public health specialists, researchers, social workers and ancillary health personnel representing prominent organizations from major cities across North America. The NARHC is recognized as the leading conference for healthcare and other professionals working with refugee populations, and is the world's largest clinical refugee health conference. It alternates annually between Canada and US, and 2024 NARHC will be hosted in the "birthplace" of US refugee health: Minneapolis, MN.

The conference is organized by the Society of Refugee Healthcare Providers, which is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the healthcare of refugees and asylum seekers, as well as addressing equity in healthcare. Our passionate members include medical providers, nurses, social workers, researchers, coordinators and many other professionals who spend much of their workday caring for newly-arriving refugees, asylum seekers and immigrants. Our mission is to educate, coordinate, and provide a forum for communication by which members (and the general public) can become more informed about best practices in refugee and immigrant healthcare.

Registration for the conference is currently open as is the abstract submission portal (details here) - open from now until April 1st, 2024. We welcome abstract submissions for traditional scientific abstracts, as well as workshops and panel discussions on important topics within refugee health, including Advocacy, Chronic Disease, Community, Education/Research, Infectious Disease, Mental Health, Models of Care, Nutrition, Pediatrics, Screening, Vaccines, and Women’s Health.
