Consortium of Universities for Global Health (CUGH) 11th annual conference

4/18/2020 - 4/20/2020
This conference’s theme is ‘Global Health in a Time of Worldwide Political Change. www.cugh2020.org
Location: Washington, DC
The theme was selected to reflect the geopolitical shifts that are undermining the ability of the international community to address the threats we face. This is also a challenge that global health is ideally positioned to address. The interdisciplinary and international nature of our field captures the relationships, structures, and skills needed to face the complex threats before us. The meeting’s six program tracks or subthemes frame the program in a way that will attract biomedical and non-biomedical disciplines across academia, NGOs, government and the private sector. Attend some of the outstanding satellite sessions on April 17 to learn about the latest research and activities that can be implemented in our home communities and countries.
Being in Washington, DC, organizers anticipate attracting a range of political leaders from around the world who would be interested in sharing their views and collaborating with the nearly 2000 people expected to be in attendance from over 50 countries.

CUGH’s annual conference is a must attend event on the global health calendar. Over 1800 scientists, students and implementers from academia, NGOs, government and the private sector will present, learn and collaborate to address some of the pressing challenges our world faces. A wide range of medical and non-medical disciplines are represented throughout the pre-conference satellite day on April 17 (register online & most are free to attend) and the April 18th -20th conference. Attendees will be inspired and challenged and learn new skills, contacts and ways we can improve the health of people and the planet.
