Dear ASTMH Members and Annual Meeting Attendees:

ASTMH recognizes that the COVID-19 pandemic has placed considerable professional and personal stress on Society members, drawing time and attention away from routine professional activities. We have therefore extended the abstract deadline to April 22, 2020. Because of the considerable time required for Society Program Committees to perform peer review and for accepted abstracts to be organized into scientific sessions, we regret that we will not be able to grant further extensions.

All Travel Award application deadlines have been extended to April 22.

The 2020 Annual Meeting is proceeding as planned. We are actively monitoring the global situation regarding the spread of COVID-19. We are aware of the risks of large gatherings, especially those that attract attendees from around the world such as our meeting. We are actively exploring options and developing alternative plans should a change in the Annual Meeting be warranted. All updates will be shared in a timely manner via our website, directly through email messages and posts to Twitter and Facebook.
