Peruvian Research, Efforts Drive 9th Annual 'ASTMH In Peru' on February 25

The 


The 9th Annual Alan J. Magill “ASTMH in Peru” took place February 25, driven by Peruvian research originally presented at the 2018 Annual Meeting. More than 250 attended. Five keynote lectures, nine oral presentations, 41 posters and a post-conference course were offered, including talks by ASTMH President Chandy John, Chandy C. John, MD, MS, FASTMH, and CEO Karen A. Goraleski. The meeting was organized by Cayetano and San Marcos University in Perú Tropical Medicine Institutes, the Peruvian National Institutes of Health (INS), the Society for Infectious and Tropical Diseases, and the Emerge Climate Change and Emerging Diseases Research Unit of Cayetano Heredia University. INS also served as host.
