The Harry Hoogstraal Medal for Outstanding Achievement in Medical Entomology. Nominations for the Harry Hoogstraal Medal for outstanding Achievement in Medical Entomology may be submitted in writing by any ACME member to the ACME chairperson. Each year, the Executive Council shall consider all nominations so submitted as well as any nominations submitted orally by Council members, and decide whether to make an award at the business meeting to be held during the following year. Any living medical entomologist not serving on the Executive Council is eligible to be selected to receive the award.

The Arthropod Containment Guidelines were published in Vector-Borne and Zoonotic Diseases in 2003 and are available free at the publisher's Web site.

Version 3.1 differs from 2.3 in the removal of field recommendations.
Field sites are defined. Other minor changes to wording. This version
has been submitted to the ACME executive council for consideration to be
completed in early 2002.
